This organic platinum wedding band is simple pipe band that has been lightly hammered for a rustic & natural effect. Each ring is a one-of-a-kind. The pictured band was crafted from hand-milled stock that is 6mm wide and 2mm thick, and it is finished with a comfort fit profile.

Your ring will be made from scratch: Dan will pour an ingot of platinum, hard roll it, and finish it to your preference. Because the metal is cold worked, hand forged bands like this one are denser and stronger than bands that are cast.

A noble metal, platinum has a wear characteristic that outlasts gold 10x to 1x. We use an alloy that is 95% platinum and 5% ruthenium.

Platinum has an extremely high melting point (3236 degrees F), so working with raw platinum requires a big torch, dark glasses, and lots of fire. In the third picture, you can see Dan melting platinum and getting ready to pour the ingot; and in the fourth picture, he is curing the ingot and making certain that it’s prepared for rolling.
