Entirely hand forged, this beautiful 4mm platinum wedding band is made with two different metals: platinum 950 on the outside, and 24k gold on the inside… two separate bands that Dan has soldered into one.

It is the best of both worlds… the durability of cool platinum coupled with the rich, lustrous warmth of pure 24k gold. Though gold is soft in its pure form and doesn’t lend itself well to wedding bands, in this case it will remain relatively unscathed as it cradles your finger, protected by its platinum exterior.

One of the noble metals, platinum has a wear characteristic that outlasts gold 10x to 1x. We use an alloy that is 95% platinum and 5% ruthenium in our platinum jewelry.

This classic half round wedding ring will be made from scratch: Dan will alloy the metal, pour the ingots, handmill the stock, and finish the rings to your preference. Because the metal is cold worked, hand forged bands like this one are denser and stronger than bands that are cast.
